We're excited to impart our crafty knowledge to eager DIYers.
Students do not need to bring anything to class. All materials and safety equipment will be provided.

INTRO TO SOAP MAKING
In this class we’ll go over the basic chemistry and phases of cold process soap making, common terminology, equipment needed, common ingredients and where to get them, safety musts, how to use SoapCalc, some trouble shooting help, basic colour and scent options, and you will make your very first batch of all natural soap to take home with you!

INTERMEDIATE SOAP MAKING
In this class we'll go over more complex soap making techniques including using multiple colourants to achieve swirled or layered designs, how best to use multiple essential oils (anchors, top/mid/base notes etc), and using natural additives for decoration and/or function (ex: clay, dried flowers, seeds, etc). Then students will try their hand at a more complex soap batch that they will take home!

ADVANCED SOAP MAKING
In this class we’ll go over a few more advanced techniques including a demo on how to rebatch in the oven, a demo of how to use milks instead of water in your lye mixture, a primer on water discounting, and then we'll make either solseife or salt bars (and discuss the difference!). We will also go over tips and warnings for crafters looking to sell their soap creations.

LIP BALMS AND HAND SALVES
In this class you will learn how to make your own lip balms and lotion bars. We will start with some basic information on ingredients and their benefits, equipment needed, safety musts, and sample recipes and variations. Then, you will make a batch of cocoa or shea butter based lip balms, and a batch of botanical infused hand salve for you to take home!

BATH TRUFFLES AND TEAS
In this class you will learn how to make your own bath truffles & teas. These make excellent wedding/shower/party favours, and is a fun activity to do with a group of friends!
We will start with some basic information on ingredients and their benefits, equipment needed, safety musts, sample recipes, and packaging ideas. Then, you will make a batch of shea & cocoa butter based bath truffles, and various combos of bath teas, all of which you get to take home!
